Prof. Dr. Liana Pleș is one of Romania’s most respected specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, with over three decades of experience in clinical practice, academic leadership, and medical innovation. She serves as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy and has led multiple clinical and academic programs focused on advancing women’s health and reproductive medicine.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Pleș has specialized in maternal-fetal medicine, infertility treatment, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and oncogynecology. Her academic achievements include a PhD in Medical Sciences, postdoctoral training in fetal medicine in Paris, and European diplomas in endoscopic gynecologic surgery and colposcopy.

Prof. Pleș has been deeply involved in both teaching and research, mentoring numerous young physicians and contributing to national and international studies in prenatal diagnosis, obstetrics, and gynecologic oncology. She has been recognized with multiple national awards for innovation in medical research, including gold medals for projects in early sepsis diagnosis and pelvic floor innovation.
